I've was given a Marshall JCM800 Bass Series about 10 years ago whilst on work experience, the guy who previously owned it said it belonged to his old bassist who died and he hasn't used it since. So it has been sat in his garage for at least a decade before I was gifted it. So I started gigging with it because it is a beauty!!

Marshall 1992 JCM 800 Bass Series 100Watt Super Bass Head Reverb
15 Aug 9, 2021 #1 Hi all, I'm new here. I have bought this amp last weekend, the JCM800 bass series MK2 with 1935 cab. I think it was built in 1986, (or 1984 not sure though). I am curious about the amp, the controls especially the slope control and the mid sweep and like to know if there are any players using it with a guitar.

This cabinet was primarily meant as an extension cabinet for the 5520 Bass combo. JCM800 1935A, Bass 4×12″ 260W/280W 16Ω angled front cabinet.

#1 I just picked up a Marshall JCM800 Bass for cheap ($900 shipped). I think I want to mod it but I heard some are worth a good bit of money. Mine is a 50 watt with 6550's and verticle inputs. I could do the master volume mod myself. I haven't had a chance to look at the schematic to see if anymore "simple" mods are possible. BSRIAudio

The JCM800 series (Models 2203, 2204, 2205 and 2210) is a line of guitar amplifiers made by Marshall Amplification. The series was introduced in 1981. Although models 1959 and 1987 had been in production since 1965 and the 2203 and 2204 had been in production since 1975, they were redesigned and introduced as JCM800 amplifiers in 1981.
